Our Community Partners

We’ve set goals to reflect our culture, values and beliefs about sustainability, and will drive these ambitions with our passion for positive impact. With direct input from our colleagues in 16 hubs around the country, partners and communities, we’ve committed to several community initiatives for 2018 as well as partnerships with Business in the Community, Enactus Ireland and Junior Achievement. Each one supports with KBC’s global sustainability strategy, while supporting our independent, regional ambitions.

We are proud members of Business in the Community Ireland (BITCI). Through our membership, we are part of a growing sustainability network of over 90 leading Irish companies.
We are delighted to be part of the BITC Impact Map, showcasing positive impact across Ireland as part of their  #strongertogether campaign. Take look here.

Through the BITCI skills@work programme, we have a school link with Cabra Community College. This provides post primary school students with a unique insight into the world of work and includes site visits, mock interviews and CV preparation.

All signatory companies commit to reducing their Scope 1 & 2 greenhouse gas emission intensity by 50% by 2030. KBC Ireland is one of 43 companies that have signed this pledge.

Each year employees work with over 100 pupils from our local primary schools to complete Make Maths Matter! A programme designed to immerse young people in a dynamic, innovative and mathematical themed, workshop and sports day, encouraging them to realise the practical applications of STEM subjects.
Junior Achievement Ireland

With Enactus Ireland—a global network of college students and business leaders – we have developed ‘Get Ready to Innovate’, a bespoke KBC Enactus Internship programme, supporting the future generation of entrepreneurs to gain invaluable work experience by providing them with a paid tailored internship at KBC.
‘Get Ready to Innovate’ invites a group of shortlisted students to attend an intensive challenge where they complete interviews, group tasks, and pitch innovative and sustainable product ideas to a KBC audience with the hope of standing out from the crowd to win an internship!
