KBC Bank Ireland scoops Gold at An Post Smart Marketing Awards

KBC scoops Gold for Best Technology/Innovation Campaign and Silver for Best Digital Marketing Campaign at the An Post Smart Marketing Awards last night.

KBC Bank Ireland has been awarded Gold for the Best Technology/Innovation Campaign for its ‘instant account opening app in five steps in five minutes’ and Silver for Best Digital Campaign ‘#HomeExperience’ in conjunction with Distilled Media at the Smart Marketing Awards.

The An Post Smart Marketing Awards recognise impactful, insightful, intelligent and innovative marketing campaigns and initiatives. KBC beat off stiff competition at the ceremony in Dublin’s Mansion House last night.
The campaign highlighted the customer experiences that demonstrate how KBC provides a different banking experience in Ireland, and how those experiences have been designed with the consumer in mind – from the usability and accessibility of products and services, to the digital and personal interactions with the brand.

The Gold Award recognised the campaign to showcase KBC’s revolutionary app which allows customers to open a current account in five easy steps in five minutes and have instant access to a debit card and digital wallets.

The Silver Award recognised KBC’s ‘Experience your World’ campaign which is a major technology partnership with Distilled Media that allows consumers to experience spaces around them in virtual reality at unprecedented scale. The partnership gives audiences the opportunity to explore iconic landmarks, homes and even city neighbourhoods in a new way - using the latest VR technology alongside exclusive data and content in what was a significant media first.
