We are introducing new limits to the amount you can transfer to newly-saved payees and once-off payments to recipients (payees you have not saved) via Online Banking/the KBC App.
This change will come into effect after 23rd July 2022 and we have outlined what this means for you below.
Please note these changes will not affect your existing payees.
Newly added payees/ once-off payments
After 23rd July 2022 the maximum daily amount you will be able to transfer to new-payees and once off recipients (payees you have not saved) is €2,500 per day.
This is a daily limit, so the maximum combined amount you can transfer to new payees/once off recipients is €2,500 per day.
You make a one-off transfer of €500 to your friend on Tuesday, who you have not set up as a payee. Later that day, you set up your landlord as a new payee and transfer €2,000. You will now have reached your daily limit of €2,500 for new payees and one off transfers. You will not be able to make any more payments from your account to newly added payees or once off recipients.
The next day, Wednesday, you will be able to transfer up to €2,500 again to new payees and/or one off transfer.
As you have saved your landlord as a payee, after 2 days (from when your landlord was added as a payee), you can transfer up to €15,000 per day* to your landlord.
*This is subject to an overall daily limit of €15,000.
There is no change to existing payees. The standard daily limit of €15,000 continues to apply.
What if I want to transfer over €2,500?**
If you want to transfer over €2,500 to someone, you will have to add them as a payee and after 2 days you will be able to transfer over €2,500 per day (up to the maximum standard limits).
Alternatively you can call to one of our Hubs to request a transfer or send us a signed written instruction to Account Servicing, KBC Sandwith Street, Dublin 2.
For further information you can contact our Customer Service Team on 1800 93 92 44
**This only applies to new payees. For any existing payees the standard daily limits apply.
