How to avail of this service

Select the participating accountant you wish to provide this advice.

Contact Accountant

Make contact with your selected accountant and set-up an appointment. It is important that you bring the following 4 items to your appointment:

  • Copy of your Standard Financial Statement
  • Copy of your Letter of Variation outlining the revised terms of your mortgage agreement
  • Standard Financial Statement Summary Sheet
  • Mortgage Forbearance Advice Confirmation Form

The above information will be sent to you from KBCI if you choose to avail of this service.

Mortgage Forbearance Advice
The accountant you have chosen from the full panel will then provide Mortgage Forbearance Advice to you regarding the Resolution Option offered by KBCI.

Confirmation Form
When this process is complete, please ensure you sign the Mortgage Forbearance Advice Confirmation Form and leave this with your accountant who will in turn invoice KBCI for the cost of this service.

Following the meeting with the accountant you have chosen, and assuming that you have decided to proceed with the Mortgage Resolution solution offered by KBCI, please sign and return the Letter of Variation with any supporting documentation required to KBCI. If you have any questions or concerns or want to appeal the recommendation please contact us on 1850 93 02 35.

Important Information on the free Mortgage Forbearance Advice Service.

Following the announcement on 06/09/2012 by the Minister for Social Protection, Joan BurtonTD, Independent Financial Advice (also known as Independent Long Term Mortgage Forbearance Advice) is available for customers who are offered long term mortgage resolution solutions by banks in respect of their primary residence from a panel of participating accountants. If you are eligible to participate in this scheme for the proposed long term resolution solution on offer from KBC Bank Ireland (KBCI), we will pay this cost of €250 (plus VAT) on your behalf if you wish to avail of it.
