Offshore Funds – Please Note: KBC ceased offering Offshore funds in March 2021 to new customers.  Existing Offshore Investment customers can continue to hold funds but cannot make any changes to existing funds, for example, if a Customer has a Regular Investment Plan, changes cannot be made to it such as increasing or decreasing amounts. If a customer would like to make changes to an Offshore Regular Investment Plan, the customer will need to

1) cancel their current Offshore Regular Investment Plan

2) complete a new Risk Profile

3) invest in a KBC Investment Fund.

Existing customers cannot make Offshore Lump Sum investments.  If a customer would like to invest a Lump Sum amount, similar to above, a new Risk Profile will need to be completed, which will then map to a New Investment Fund within the customers Risk Profile. Offshore Investment customers can redeem funds either on their Mobile App or by speaking to an Investment Advisor in a local Hub.  

Risk Profiles - When an Offshore customer completed a Risk Profile, the customer automatically defaulted to a Sivek Global Low (Defensive Fund), Sivek Global Medium (Dynamic Fund) and Sivek Global High (Very Dynamic Fund).

SRI Funds – all customers had the option to also invest in a Socially Responsible Investment Fund (SRI).  This fund was only available upon

1) having a conversation with an Investment Advisor within the Hub or

2) tailoring funds within the Mobile App.

When tailoring a fund, a Defensive customer could only select another Defensive Fund, the customer could not select a Dynamic or Very Dynamic Fund.  Dynamic/Very Dynamic customers could tailor funds and select any fund (all Dynamic and Very Dynamic funds have the same product score of 4), including Defensive funds, which were in a lower Risk Profile. 

Privileged Funds – were funds which try to prevent the value of the fund falling below a certain percentage of the amount invested, e.g. 95%/90%/85% of the fund invested.  To do this, investment managers switched from risky assets (shares/bonds) to less risky assets (shorter-term bonds and cash). The floor price protection technique helped limit the negative consequences of a sharp fall in the financial markets. These funds were not automatically available. Customers had to 1) speak with an Investment Advisor in a Hub or tailor the fund selection on the Mobile App, again only selecting funds within their Risk Profile. 

E.g. Defensive Customers could only select funds within their Defensive Profile.  Dynamic/Very Dynamic customers could tailor funds and select any fund, including Defensive funds, which were in a lower Risk Profile.

Below outlines the various the Product rating scores, which in summary will outline the following:

• A Very Defensive Profile will have a Product rating score of 1.

• A Defensive Profile will have a Product rating score of 2-3.

• A Dynamic Profile will have a Product rating score of 4-5.

• A Very Dynamic Profile will have a Product rating score of 6-7.

The Table will also outline the available funds to Customers who fall within a certain Risk Profile along with the Product score associated to that Fund
