The Role: 
The Finance Project Team have responsibility for the implementation of strategic projects and initiatives for the Finance Team from inception to delivery and are responsible for the KBCI’s general ledger Oracle Financials. The successful candidate will be a key member of this Team, and the primary focus of the role will be ownership of Oracle Financials managing and delivering a planned upgrade, owning the system on a day to day basis and  driving improvements. The candidate will also be involved in delivery of other key projects and initiatives.

Role Profile  

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

Finance Lead on the Oracle upgrade project, ensuring successful implementation. Working with a cross functional Team from feasibility to delivery:
  • Documenting requirements and assessing the impact of the upgrade on existing functionality and processes
  • Working with internal and external developers to ensure that all requirements are met
  • Overseeing and completing user acceptance testing and project sign-off
  • Reporting progress and key updates to Senior Management 
  • Documentation and staff training
  • Providing post live support to the Finance Team.

In addition to which the successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining “business as usual” in regard to:
  • Management and control of Oracle GL, ensuring integrity and accuracy of the GL
  • Drive changes in Oracle Financials to ensure optimal processes

Person Specification

Knowledge, Education & Experience:
  • Previous experience in implementing large scale changes in Oracle, particularly in the Finance modules
  • Accountancy background preferable

Essential Skills & Abilities:
  • Oracle Financials experience essential
  • Knowledge of Power BI or similar an advantage
  • Strong team player as well as the ability to work off own initiative
  • Strong communication skills with an ability to deal with all levels in a confident and professional manner
  • Must have a flexible and confident approach to working in a fast moving, exciting environment

  • Experience working in a fast paced environment and collaborating within a cross functional teams
  • Ability to prioritise work under time constraints and deliver to required deadlines
  • Ability to achieve results and a proven commitment to attaining desired goals
  • Attention to detail coupled with a high degree of accuracy is essential
