KBC Wins Mortgage Lending Accolade at PIBA Awards

KBC Bank Ireland won the 2014 Excellence in Mortgage Lending award at the PIBA Service Excellence Awards at a ceremony in Dublin last night.

KBC was awarded this prestigious accolade in recognition of its commitment to excellence in mortgage lending and the support provided to its Intermediary partners and customers - as demonstrated by the individual staff members and teams who work to meet customers’ mortgage needs. The award win, which was voted by PIBA broker members, comes just 18 months since KBC moved to become a full service retail bank, offering customers a complete range of products across mortgages, current accountsavings and insurance. PIBA is the largest Broker representative body in Ireland and currently has a membership of approximately 880 brokerage firms.

Discussing the award, Pat Watt, Head of Distribution, KBC Bank Ireland, said: “KBC is delighted to win the 2014 Excellence in Mortgage Lending category at the PIBA awards. This award is testament to the hard work and commitment of our staff who have shown tremendous professionalism, diligence and a true understanding of our Intermediary partner and Customers’ needs. The award further underscores our reputation as the bank of choice for customers looking for innovative products, competitive offers, and real value in the market. This compelling proposition is what sets KBC apart, and why more first time buyers, movers and switchers are choosing us for their mortgage needs. We would like to thank PIBA for this recognition and prestigious award.”

KBC’s current mortgage offer includes €1,000 towards legal fees for anyone who switches their mortgage to KBC (before 31st December, 2014), as well as one year’s free KBC Home Insurance for First Time BuyersMovers and Switchers.

Customers with a KBC current account can receive a flat discount of 0.2% on new business variable or fixed residential mortgage rates for the life of their mortgage, if they mandate their salary to their account and pay the mortgage by Direct Debit from their KBC Current Account. The 0.2% discount is also available on the roll off variable rate after the fixed rate period ends and KBC currently offers some of the lowest roll off variable rates in the market today.
