KBC crowned Champion Sales Team of the Year

Rapid rise to the top for KBC’s Agile Sales Team.

KBC Bank Ireland’s Agile Sales Team have been crowned “Champion Sales Team” at the 2014 Irish Sales Champion Awards.

KBC’s Agile Sales Team was awarded the prestigious accolade in recognition of their leadership, innovation, adaptability and teamwork skills in a new era of consumer retail banking for KBC in Ireland. The team was formed just 12 months ago to support KBC’s expansion, as it opens new hubs, launches new products and attracts new customers, becoming Ireland’s newest full service retail bank.

As ambassadors for KBC Bank, the team’s responsibilities include developing awareness for the brand, using KBC’s mobile and pop-up banks to engage consumers at key events, as well as town centres and shopping complexes, and home visits, while working to meet ambitious targets as the bank grows its customer base.

Dara Deering, Executive Director and Head of Retail Banking, KBC Bank Ireland, said“It’s a wonderful achievement for our Agile Sales Team to win the Irish Sales Champion Awards and I wish to congratulate every member of the team for their hard work and dedication over the past 12 months. The award is testament to the commitment of the team, who have shown great enthusiasm and innovation and, in doing so, have contributed hugely towards building a new retail bank for KBC in Ireland. The award further cements KBC’s position as a real challenger brand for consumers in the Irish retail banking landscape. We want to offer banking services which are relevant and appropriate for how, when and where consumers want to do their banking today, and our Agile Sales Team makes that possible.”

KBC’s Agile Sales Team is led by Willie Clancy, Grace Cummins, Christina Rafferty, Ciaran Gogan, Susan Clarke, Jonathan Martin, Tracey Costello, Val Murray and Emmet Pyne, who have a wealth of financial services experience.

The Irish Sales Champion Awards recognise the achievements of sales professionals who deliver results with enthusiasm and integrity, while acknowledging those who support, motivate and train sales personnel, as well as the technology used to support their work. This is the only industry awards initiative to recognise the endeavours of sales personnel in Ireland, of which there are approximately 30,000 people employed in Ireland across contact centre, retail and field sales.
