Due to the European Bank Holiday, we would advise you to make any payments which are due on May 1st a day early in order to make sure funds are received on April 30th.
As Central Banks in many European countries will be closed on Friday 1st May and with the Irish Bank Holiday on Monday 4th May, many Euro electronic payments (credit transfers and direct debits), due to be processed on Friday the 1st of May will not be credited or debited from accounts until Monday 4th of May.
Q1. If a payment is due into my account on 1st May, when can I expect it to arrive?
A. Due to the European Bank Holiday, we would advise you to make any payments which are due on May 1st a day early in order to make sure funds are received on April 30th.Otherwise, funds will not be credited until Monday 4th May.
Q2. I have a direct debit due from my KBC current account on 1st May. When can I expect these funds to leave my account?
A. This will depend on when your service provider requests the funds, however it is expected that payments due on 1st May will be debited from your account on Monday 4th May.
