The Ultimate First Time Buyer “Stuff You Need” Checklist (PAYE)

This handy checklist tells you all the documents you need to start collecting for your mortgage application.

Print it out and keep it as a useful reference.

  • 6 months original continuous Current Account Bank Statements (the latest dated within the last 3 months)
  • 6 months savings statements / balance of funds required for the property
  • 3 months credit card statements (the latest dated within the last 3 months)
  • Up to date original Employee Status Report completed & stamped by employer within the last 6 months
  • 2 consecutive recent payslips (latest within the last 6 months)
  • Most recent P60 (2015) for each applicant
  • 2 forms of photographic ID for each applicant – passport & driver’s licence
  • Both Declarations on Page 10 of the application form must be signed – SEPA declaration and credit reference search. If either of these sections are not signed the application will not be reviewed until original signatures are provided.
  • Most recent term loan statements (if applicable)
  • 2 original utility bills or bank statements – dated within the past six months
  • Separation agreements  or any other relevant legal agreements
  • Detailed estimated for any renovations (if applicable)
