The KBC Current Account Plus is available to personal customers, i.e. your Current Account Plus may be used to operate and manage your personal financial affairs. For example you may receive wages and salary payments and pay personal and domestic bills.
Your Current Account Plus may not be used for any business, charity, club, society or other organisation.
You must be resident in the Republic of Ireland.
You must be aged 60 years or over to open this account

You may open a Current Account Plus in your sole name or in joint names with another person.
To open a joint account the main accountholder must be 60 years of age or over.
In the event of death of the main accountholder, if you the surviving accountholder are under 60 years of age you will not continue to receive the benefits of the Current Account Plus. Your account will then be subject to fees and charges and you can view these in our Fees and Charges booklet.
Please note: KBC Bank Ireland does not offer cash facilities at our hub locations and so are unable to cater for cash lodgements or withdrawals in our premises.
You’ll get us on the phone 7 days a week from 8am to 8pm Monday to Friday and 9am to 5pm on Saturday and Sunday.
*Free day to day banking means you won’t be charged for day to day use of your account - like cash withdrawals and quarterly fees for maintaining the account. Fees and charges may apply for non-euro ATM cash withdrawals and using a debit card for purchases in foreign currency.
The KBC Current Account Plus is a Euro account. You cannot make lodgements to your Current Account Plus in any currency other than Euro.
^CashBack is at the retailers discretion and a purchase is required. A minimum amount may be necessary.

Customers aged 60 years or over are exempt from Account Transaction Fees (Maintaining the Account Fees, Cash withdrawals [ATM] within the SEPA Zone denominated in Euro or Cheque Lodgement Fees).
Opening a Current Account should be something you can do anytime anywhere and with KBC it is. You can open your account with us across many different channels and we have called out the requirements for each below:
