What's happening?
KBC Credit Cards have transferred to Bank of Ireland. The Legal Transfer of your Credit Card completed on the 03rd February and you can now contact Bank of Ireland about the day to day servicing of your account. Where you have any questions about the Transfer or about your BOI Credit Card generally, please contact Bank of Ireland’s KBC Transition Support team on 0818 210 290, 8am-8pm Monday-Friday (excluding bank holidays) or + 353 1 250 0305 (if calling from outside Ireland). Alternatively, you can find answers to some frequently asked questions at boi.com/KBCsupport.

BOI have written to you to let you know what date your KBC Credit Card stopped working and when you can start using your new Bank of Ireland Credit Card. Once you start using your new card, we’d recommend you destroy your old KBC Credit Card.

Important Information about your KBC Credit Card

 
Minimum payment is the greater of €5 or 5% of the statement balance.

Credit facilities are subject to repayment capacity and financial status and are not available to persons under 18 years of age. Government stamp duty of €30 is charged annually per account.

  • Direct Debit
    You can automatically pay your Credit Card bill each month by direct debit. You can choose to pay a minimum monthly amount of 5%, 25%, 50% (subject to a minimum amount of €5) or 100% of the balance due as set out in your monthly statement. To set up your direct debit please contact us on 1800 93 92 44. If you avail of a 100% direct debit, the amount collected on the payment due date will be the total balance outstanding i.e. purchases and any balance transferred to us. As a result you could lose the benefit of any promotional rates. 

    Mobile App
    You can set up your Credit Card as a bill payment in the KBC Mobile Banking App. Once you do, you can easily pay what you want to your Credit Card each month. To set up your Credit Card as a bill, login to the KBC Mobile Banking App and select the dropdown menu in the top left-hand corner. Select ‘Transfer’ and then select ‘Bills’ from the menu at the bottom of the screen. Select the ‘+’ button in the top right-hand corner to set-up a new bill. Select ‘Category’ and select ‘KBC Credit Card’. Ensure that you insert the 16 digit Credit Card number in the ‘Biller Reference’ section. Enter your PIN on the next screen and that’s it.

    Credit Transfer
    If you are transferring money to your KBC Credit Card using a credit transfer, you will need the IBAN and BIC number – these are on the front page of your Credit Card statement. You must also include your 16 digit Credit Card number in the description or reference box, to ensure that the payment is applied to your account.

    Standing Order
    You can automatically pay a set amount each month (this is a Standing Order). You will need the IBAN and BIC number – these are on the front page of your Credit Card statement. You will also need to include your 16 digit Credit Card number in the description or reference box, to ensure the payment is applied to your account.

    Cheque
    You can post your cheque to:
    KBC Bank, P.O. Box 12485 Credit Cards, Sandwith Street, Dublin 2.
    Just send in your cheque with the payment instruction on your statement and allow 8 business days for the payment to clear. Always write your 16 digit Credit Card number on the back of your cheque or draft.
  • How do I set up an Instalment Plan

    Step 1:  Pay for the purchase on your KBC Credit Card. The purchase must be for €500 or more.

    Step 2:  Contact KBC Card Services on 1800-93-92-44 to request a transfer of the purchase to the Credit Card Instalment Plan.

    Representative Example
    Purchase Amount: €500
    Interest Rate: 8.64%
    APR: 8.99%
    Term: 12 months
    Monthly Instalment Amount: €43.64
    Cost of credit: €23.71
    Total Amount repayable: €523.71

    This is a representative example of a Credit Card Instalment Plan option at a variable rate of 8.64%. It is an estimate only and subject to rounding.

    Some Important Information
    You can have two Instalment Plans outstanding at any one time.Your instalment plan(s) cannot exceed 80% of your Credit Card limit.For a purchase to be eligible it must be allocated to the Instalment Plan by no later than the second monthly statement received after the date of purchase.

    Your minimum payment due each month will be detailed on your statement and will include your Instalment Plan repayment.Your available credit limit will be reduced by the amount of the instalment plan availed of. Your credit limit will be progressively reinstated each month once the monthly instalment repayment is paid.

    APR means Annual Percentage Rate.

  • With a KBC Credit Card we will give you 1% cash back on grocery and online purchases made with the card, up to €10 a month. This reward will be credited to your statement every month.

    Please note that to be eligible for the grocery reward, the retailer must be categorised under a ‘grocery’ merchant category code with MasterCard.
