As part of the second Payment Services Directive (PSD2), all banks must introduce additional security measures called Strong Customer Authentication (SCA) to make electronic payments more secure when shopping online.

You’ll already be familiar with One Time Passcodes (OTP) which are often required when making online purchases. We’re now introducing an added layer of security called an eCommerce PIN. You will need this eCommerce PIN in the future along with the OTP for shopping online.

If you’re an Additional Credit Card Holder or a Business Banking customer that holds a Debit or Credit Card to set your eCommerce PIN you will need to book an appointment to chat to one of our team over Skype or in-person at any of our Hubs: Dublin: College Green, Baggot Street, Grand Canal, Stillorgan, Swords, Blanchardstown. Kildare: Maynooth. Cork: Lapp’s Quay, Wilton. Galway, Limerick and Waterford.

Please make sure your location settings are turned on and pop-ups are allowed for this service to work.

For your appointment, please bring proof of identity (an original and current passport, driver's licence or EU National ID card)

If you’re a Primary Card Holder, please head to for information about setting your eCommerce PIN.
