Update to Services

As you may be aware on the 16th April 2021 KBC announced its intention to begin an orderly and phased exit from the Irish market. We remain committed to keeping customers informed about what this means for you.

As of the 31st August 2023 we have closed the KBC Mobile App and Online Banking channels, our Grand Canal Hub has also closed permanently.

  • If your current account remains open or blocked you should now take the steps to close your account and bring the balance to zero. You can find more information here.

    If an overdraft balance remains on your account (s) it may transfer to Cabot Financial (Ireland) Limited at a date in the future. You can find more information here.

    If your account(s) remains open/blocked (not closed), from the 31st August 2023 you will no longer be able to view your account(s) in the KBC Mobile App or Online Banking platforms or set up access to the KBC Mobile App or Online Banking. This means that if you wish to get a balance, a copy of a statement, amend your details (such as update your address) or view your BIC or IBAN to make a transfer into your KBC Current Account you should contact Customer Support who will be happy to help you.
  • If your account remains open, from the 31st August 2023 you will no longer be able to view your account(s) in the KBC App or online banking platforms or set up access to the KBC Mobile App or Online Banking. This means that if you wish to get a balance,  a copy of your statement or amend your details (such as update your address) or your account number you should contact Customer Support who will be happy to help.

    At a date in the future your account may also transfer to Cabot Financial (Ireland) Limited and you can find more information here.

Business Banking - Service Update

Your KBC Business Current Account remains open or blocked and you should now take the steps to close your account and bring your balance to zero – you can find more information here.

If your account remains open/blocked (not closed), from the 31st August 2023 you will no longer be able to view your account in the KBC Mobile App or Online Banking platforms or set up access to the KBC Mobile App or Online Banking.

This means that if you wish to get a balance, a copy of a statement, amend your details (such as update your address) or view your BIC or IBAN to make a transfer into your KBC Business Current Account you should contact Customer Support who will be happy to help you.
