SEPA Payments Processing over the Christmas and New Year period

The 26th December 2016 is the only non-SEPA processing day over the Christmas and New Year period. As the 27th and 28th December 2016 and the 2nd January 2017 are local bank holidays please note the following;

Q1. If a payment is due into my account during the holiday period, when can I expect it to arrive?
The 27th and 28th December are normal SEPA processing days and KBC Bank Ireland Plc will be processing SEPA transactions on these days however please note that credits due into your account from other Banks on these dates may not be received and credited to your account until the 29th December 2016.

Similarly the 2nd January 2017 is a normal SEPA processing day and KBC Bank Ireland Plc will be processing SEPA transactions on this day however please note that credits due into your account from other Banks on this date may not be received and credited to your account until the 3rd January 2017.

This is due to the local bank holiday processing arrangements of other Banks.
 
Q2. I have made a mobile or online payment from my KBC current account during the holiday period. When can I expect these funds to arrive in the beneficiary account?
Online and mobile SEPA payments going to other banks made after 1.30pm on the SEPA business day of 23rd December up to 1.30pm on the SEPA business day of 27th December will be effected on the 27th December but may not be applied to beneficiary accounts until the 29th December.

Online and mobile SEPA payments going to other banks made after 1.30pm on the SEPA business day of the 27th December up to 1.30pm on the SEPA business day of 28th December going to other banks will be effected on 28th December but may not be applied to beneficiary accounts until the 29th December.

Similarly online and mobile SEPA payments going to other banks made after 1.30pm on the SEPA business day of 30th December up to 1.30pm on the SEPA business day of 2nd January 2017 will be effected on the 2nd January 2017 but may not be applied to beneficiary accounts until the 3rd January 2017.

This is due to the local bank holiday processing arrangements of other Banks.

Q3. I have a direct debit due from my KBC current account during the holiday period. When can I expect these funds to leave my account?

 SEPA Direct Debits will be debited to accounts according to the value date of the SDD notification received from the creditor bank.

SDDs due on the 27th or 28th December may be debited on those days but may also be delayed until 29th December depending on the value date stipulated in the SDD notification received.

Similarly SDDs due on the 2nd January 2017 may be debited on that day but may also be delayed until 3rd January 2017 depending on the value date stipulated in the SDD notification received.
