Why has my mortgage repayment increased?

Some possible reasons for an increase in mortgage repayment are outlined below:

  • A variable rate of interest may have increased on your account during the statement period. Please refer to the statement of interest rates page for a detailed rate history.
  • A discounted rate period may have come to an end on your mortgage account. Please refer to the statement of interest rates page for a detailed rate history.
  • Your account may have reverted to normal repayment following a reduced payment arrangement period.
  • You may have opted to increase your monthly mortgage repayment in order to repay your mortgage quicker.
  • You may have requested to reduce your mortgage term during 2016 which would result in an increased repayment.
  • During 2016 you may have re-drawn an overpayment previously made to your mortgage. This will have caused your loan balance, and your monthly repayment, to increase.
