Some possible reasons for an increase in mortgage repayment are outlined below:
A variable rate of interest may have increased on your account during the statement period. Please refer to the statement of interest rates page for a detailed rate history.
A discounted rate period may have come to an end on your mortgage account. Please refer to the statement of interest rates page for a detailed rate history.
Your account may have reverted to normal repayment following a reduced payment arrangement period.
You may have opted to increase your monthly mortgage repayment in order to repay your mortgage quicker.
You may have requested to reduce your mortgage term during 2016 which would result in an increased repayment.
During 2016 you may have re-drawn an overpayment previously made to your mortgage. This will have caused your loan balance, and your monthly repayment, to increase.
