First KBC Hub to open 7 days a week

KBC Bank Ireland today announced the opening of a new retail banking hub in Blanchardstown shopping centre. The opening will bring to 16 the total number of KBC hubs in Ireland. As a customer-centric bank, KBC is committed to offering a banking experience that works for their customers which includes the flexibility to bank with KBC seven days a week, whatever their home, work or study schedules. In response to this, the Blanchardstown hub is the bank’s first hub to open seven days a week and earlier this year KBC was the first bank in Ireland to offer 24/7 customer services.

Managed by Fintan Lalor, KBC’s new hub will employ 15 people in total with specialist advisors across a range of products and services, including mortgages and investments. The hub will be located on the Green Mall on Level One of the shopping centre.

The hub has been fitted out in KBC Bank’s distinctive style, comprising a mix of consultation booths as well as digital and interactive displays to provide a modern and relaxing space for customers to meet with the KBC team and discuss their financial needs.

With Blanchardstown home to a bustling retail scene, large student population and major multinationals, customers with a range of personal banking needs can expect tailored service and expert advice from KBC, as well as local customer initiatives and events hosted at the hub, many in conjunction with business and community partners.

Dara Deering, Executive Director and Head of Retail Banking, KBC Bank Ireland, said: “KBC is very pleased to be expanding our network with a new hub opening in Blanchardstown. Consumers in West Dublin will now have greater competition and choice, and the flexibility to bank with KBC seven days a week, whatever their home, work or study schedules. As Ireland’s digital first bank, we’re committed to providing a banking experience that truly works for customers, their lifestyles and their love of technology. Customers say that being able to contact their bank outside standard working hours is important, and KBC has responded by becoming the first bank in Ireland to offer 24/7 customer service too.”

Preparing for the opening, Hub Manager Fintan Lalor, said: “We’re delighted to be part of Blanchardstown shopping centre’s thriving business community. Myself and the team are looking forward to welcoming customers from the locality, and we’ll be on hand seven days a week to help with everything from Current Accounts and Mortgages, to Savings and Investments. I would invite people to come along and check out the hub, where we offer a more relaxed approach to banking with added extras to make your visit more comfortable, from complimentary coffees to phone chargers and Wi-Fi.”
