It's your Mortgage Day!
KBC Bank’s 2 and 10-year fixed mortgage rates reduced, offering customers better long-term value and lower mortgage repayments
KBC Bank, Ireland’s digital-first bank, is offering first time buyers, switchers and movers even more choice and better long-term value following a reduction in the bank’s 2 and 10-year fixed rates by between 0.20% and 0.55%. The rate reduction, which is effective from August 6th, means that KBC maintains its market-leading position on 1 and 10-year fixed rates while offering some of the most competitive 2, 3 and 5-year fixed rate options.
Fergal O’Riagain, KBC Bank’s Director of Products, said: “At KBC, we want to be a positive force for choice in the Irish banking sector and this rate reduction is part of our ongoing commitment to provide Irish people with better long-term value and lower mortgage repayments. We know that our customers are looking for greater value and certainty in their repayments over longer periods and our new pricing reflects these needs. We would encourage existing or potential homeowners to come and talk to us about getting the best value for their mortgage.”
KBC’s new fixed mortgage rates will provide further choice to a broader range of consumers with many choosing fixed rates that provide value and certainty in repayments. Additionally, new residential mortgage holders will receive 25 percent off KBC Home Insurance for one year, while KBC switcher mortgage customers will receive an additional cash-back offer of €3,000 if they drawdown their mortgage loan before 31st December 2019.
KBC is consistently responding to the changing needs and preferences of consumers across all products, from mortgages to current accounts. In June, the bank announced the introduction of free day-to-day banking to KBC Extra Current Account holders who lodge a minimum of €2,000 into their account every month, with no requirement to maintain the balance. This will provide KBC Extra Current Account holders with the bank choices they deserve and financial support they need to achieve their goals.
