Job Title: Lending Managers - Dublin & Cork

 

Reporting to: Senior Manager

 

The Role

The Relationship Manager is responsible for working with a team of Relationship Managers; the ideal candidate will have an excellent understanding of all aspects of Banking, proven people management skills and a track record of client service delivery. He/she will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with our clients and internal departments to deliver excellent client service and value add to the business.


Essential Duties

The successful candidate will have responsibility for a portfolio of lending clients.

  • Day to day management of a portfolio of loans with emphasis on ensuring compliance with the various codes of practice.
  • Operate as a key person representing the Bank in relationships with key clients.
  • Ongoing analysis and monitoring of portfolio to ensure arrears are kept to a minimum
  • As appropriate, negotiate repayment schedules with clients.
  • Assist in the reduction of overall capital usage (including via the reduction of risk weighted assets)
  • Ensure clients reviews are carried out and completed within agreed timeframes.
  • Ensure issues which have been escalated are appropriately addressed

 

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Extensive banking experience within a financial services environment.
  • Have a significant background of experience in managing a portfolio of clients
  • Excellent credit and decision-making skills.
  • The role requires excellent commercial judgment and an in depth understanding of legal, credit and compliance issues.
  • A strong customer relationship building approach, understanding and successful track record of delivery against challenging objectives
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team of lending executives
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Able to adapt to change and thrive in a banking environment
  • Ability to identify early risk situations where a credit solution might not be readily achievable
  • Ability to effectively engage with other areas of the business to support inter-departmental projects and processes which directly impact the business
  • Excellent time management and prioritizing skills necessary
  • Strong team player as well as the ability to work on own initiative

 

Education  

  • Relevant Business Degree with a minimum of a 2.1 and/or accountancy qualification
  • QFA Qualified
