Shanghai lower as property hit again


Shanghai shares suffered their fourth loss in five sessions today as property developers were hit by an official media warning that local governments must not challenge Beijing on its restrictions on the sector, adding to fears of more control measures.
The Shanghai Composite Index reversed midday gains to close down 0.5 percent at 2,126, the lowest since March 2009. The CSI300 Index of the top Shanghai and Shenzhen listings also shed 0.5 percent ( C) Reuters
